Welcome to Hammelman Farms
Where the growing starts...

We take pride in our agricultural lifestyle and love to share with visitors what we do. With agriculture as our livelihood, we have a strong appreciation for the land and commitment to ensure its productivity for future generations. We are committed to keeping our farm sustainable and vital. We are always looking for ways to improve our lands by best practices. Utilizing our natural resources for ultimate returns in yields enables us to produce premium crops year after year.

Our 950 acre family farm is located in the heart of Oregon's beautiful, bountiful Willamette Valley. We currently have about 55 acres in production for dried, preserved and fresh flowers; the remaining is vegetable, hazelnut trees, wheat and grass seed production.
Dan, a fourth generation farmer, along with Bernadette, also with strong family agricultural ties, began Hammelman Farms, Inc. in 1986, expanding on the tradition of the home farm. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, we produce grass seed (for home landscaping & golf courses), assorted vegetable crops (for the processed vegetable market), and wheat. We added flower production in 1989, exclusively for the dried floral market, carrying that tradition through the years, along with the addition of preserving floral products and most recently adding fresh flowers to our shop. Other crop production has seen a mix of products over the years as well, with our current addition being hazelnut trees (known to us Oregonians as 'filberts'!)

Our priority for excellence in both production and customer service continues today. Throughout the years, all of our family has worked hard to build on that commitment. With our son, Brian, returning to the farm business with us in 2002 and our daughters, Sarah, Amy and Kate, along with their families, continuing to help seasonally.  And the next generation, which is currently 5 grandsons and a granddaughter, shows strong interest in this family tradition!

Additionally, we are lucky to have dedicated employees, both full time and seasonal, who share our commitment and vision, both on the farm and in the office. If you call, you will more than likely speak with Mary in our office, who offers exceptional help and service. Guadalupe takes pride in cutom packing all orders. Working with all of our employees to also try to meet their needs has been rewarding for us all.  Many seasonal workers return over the years, bringing back with them the knowledge required to do the jobs well and help train new employees as well.  We well know just how important each of these people are to us
.

It is important to us, to share our rural lifestyle, the farming culture, with those who are interested...to help foster the understanding of the commitment the farm community has to bring the world food to nourish the body and flowers to nourish the soul!
We are pleased to invite you to take a few minutes and share what we do. Welcome!
